Last night, I attended the last home game for the Edmonton Eskimos.  They were playing the BC Lions who are apparently currently in first place.  Well it was an experience of a lifetime.  My Boss, Ron, got us the tickets and we were sitting on the 30 yard line, second row right behind the Eskimos bench.  It was insane. Watching it on TV is one thing but being there and so close to all the players was surreal.

One thing that annoyed me a lot was the stupid cheerleaders.  Yes; most people, especially guys, would be all over that, but they are extremely distracting.  They stood in front of my section and did their cheers for like two whole quarters.  They block the view of the players actually playing the game.  I will admit that they get the crowd going wild, but they just annoyed me.  The game, besides that, was awesome.  Beer drinking, guys in tight spandex, the mascots dressed up as darth vader and obi won, and the fact that i actually knew what was happening, it was all just awesome.  I wish I could have brought everybody with me, my dad especially. I think he would have really enjoyed being right there and so close!

All in all it was a really good night, and not only did the Eskimos win last night, but the Oilers beat the Dallas Stars as well.  It was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I hope I get to do again, but not at the end of October..possibly at the beginning of the season when it is still nice and warm out!!
