My dad took me to PJ's Pets last night, and I got a new betta fish. He is NOT to replace Joe but is to keep George company, although last night I swear he was going to kill him. The new betta is gold with blue and red on his fins and neck! He is a big betta compared to Joe and I think he scares George. George was swimming around freaking out last night, and he was actually jumping up out of the water, so I had to put a piece of paper overtop of the bowl because I thought he was seriously going to jump out! Anywho..great word...my new betta does not yet have a name, other than what we have been calling him, “betta guy,” but really now, he needs a real name. So if anyone has any ideas please leave me a comment, and if I end up choosing one I will let everyone know!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

<trackback:ping>http://kimberly.eclecticblogs.ca/services/trackbacks/3395.aspx</trackback:ping>
Happy Birthday to my Mom today!!
Tonight is a very sad night for me! My beloved friend Joe the Betta Fish has passed away! He was such a good little fish, never complaining or any trouble at all! He was my very first friend when I moved away from home down here to Edmonton, and I have had him all this time. He was approximately 2 and 1/2 years old and he lived a good long life. I will miss him, and so will his companion George the mystery fish. Over the past week Joe turned extremely white, like ET says Mack, and I kinda knew for quite some time that he wouldn't be with me very much longer. I really didn't want him to die, and now that he has, I will be sad, but always remember him! Have a good afterlife Joe!!

Happy Father's Day

<trackback:ping>http://kimberly.eclecticblogs.ca/services/trackbacks/532.aspx</trackback:ping>

Happy Father's Day Dad, and to all the other dads, grandpa's and step-dads out there. If it weren't for you there wouldn't be that special someone in every little girl's or son's life. You're the person who is always there, when something goes wrong, to show pride when we do something that it worth praising, to brag about on certain occassions, to tease us and make us stronger, to just always be there to love and hug and learn from. I actually don't know what I would do without my dad. He's always there to help me when I need it, he's probably my biggest source of information, he's a lot of fun to hang out with, and he's just AWESOME. He's always supported me in anything that I have done, and although he doesn't say it or show it very often, I know he's proud of me, and if I know that, I have no hesitation in the world with anything that I want to do, simply because I know he'll be behind me 100%. So, again I just wanted to say Happy Father's Day Dad. Have a good day and thanks for everything!

Visit With Dad

<trackback:ping>http://kimberly.eclecticblogs.ca/services/trackbacks/396.aspx</trackback:ping>
This weekend was awesome! My dad, Martin, came back from Boston, and spent two days in Edmonton with my brother, Mack, and myself, on his way back to Inuvik. It was so awesome to see him, I hadn't seen him since christmas and I think it must have been last summer for Mack. We did some shopping, had supper and last night we went to Sherlock Holmes, with Dickson and Megan for a few drinks. During the shopping experience, my dad, bought himself and my mom awesome new mountain bikes that I think they will get great use out of. As well as, clothes, and books and whatnot, you know the usual things you would shop for! My dad is also coming back down in June, and I'm just as excited if not more than I was this time. But until then, MSN will have to do, and really its too bad my mom can't come too, because that would be really cool if she did!! Today my dad flew back and I wish him a safe flight, and we will see him the next time he comes. I can't wait.

Happy 18th Birthday Tom!

<trackback:ping>http://kimberly.eclecticblogs.ca/services/trackbacks/382.aspx</trackback:ping>
Today, my little brother, Tommie, is now an adult. Wow, can y'all believe that you have been married for 26 years, I can, but only because you say it's been that long. So you guys went to high school together, started dating in grade 12, knew each other for 3 years and then got married and have been married ever since. It seems so much like a fairytale, and to see you guys so much in love and soo happy together is really awesome. If, when I get married, I'm half as happy or as much in love as you guys are, it would be extremely awesome. Well enjoy your day and night together and just make Tom go to work or something...oh wait no...noo.....

Happy Anniversary Guys, Love ya lots!

Josh & Corrines Wedding

<trackback:ping>http://kimberly.eclecticblogs.ca/services/trackbacks/163.aspx</trackback:ping>

Yesterday was my second cousin's(Corrine) wedding. Finally after 31 years of life she got married. The wedding was in this rustic church, in the middle of no where, well actually it was just outside of Cooking Lake. The ceremony started with the bridesmaids and then the little usher(greg, third cousin) so cute, and then the doors close and everyone is asked to rise. When the doors open, Corrine and her dad appear. Although I have only been to two weddings, she was the beautifullest bride i've ever seen. The ceremony itself was so laid back. The minister was really good. Very calm and had lots of interesting things to say, he was quite funny actually. Mind you there was way too much freakin' praying for me. I don't do that sort of thing at home, so i definitely didn't do it there..sorry Corrine. After the wedding was over they did their pictures. After October 16th, you can go to.. http://www.dqstudios.com/gallery/corrine for viewing of their wedding photos. The reception was very well done. Although i was stuck at a table all by myself, because my cousins and their dates didn't show up, i had a relativily good time. The food was awesome, the cake was to die for, the dancing was good, and the beer was free. Thats always the most important part...right mack?!? Overall i would say that they planned an excellent wedding and if their life together reflects anything of the sort they are going to have a blast being married to each other. Now seeing all my family that i haven't seen since i was knee high to a grass hopper(not that i have grown much past that), was quite something. I didn't know a lot of them, heard stories and stuff like that, but they all knew me. It was a little awkward to begin with, but everything turned out alright. Anyways, a toast to the bride and groom...may y'all have much happiness, fun adventures and a long life together. To Corrine and Josh...congrats.

About Me

<trackback:ping>http://kimberly.eclecticblogs.ca/services/trackbacks/152.aspx</trackback:ping>

Hello, and Welcome to my blog site.

Well as most of you know and some of you don't, i am little sister to MasterMaq, and i have recently moved down here to the big city of Edmonton. Orginally I'm from BC, but my home is Inuvik, NWT. As to a move by my parents when i was 4 i got stuck there...in the end everything turned out wonderfully.

So, in my family i have a mom(Patti), a dad(Martin), and two brothers(Mack and Tom). My mom, love her to death, is a preschool teacher in Inuvik. It's funny actually, she never used to do that, she was working in our Pet store and a couple of people offered the job to her. And of course, just like everything else, she was excellent at it, and has been doing it ever since. 9 years maybe. She is an awesome mom and i love her and really miss her, but we talk constantly so thats AWESOME!!!

My Dad, hes a really wonderful guy. Would do just about anything for my brothers and me. He is the biggest head hancho guy in the Information, Systems and Technology department at IDC. Which, for those of y'all dont know is the Inuivaluit Development Corporation in Inuvik. He really enjoys sports and all thing included with that...except maybe baseball. He's a really cool dad. I miss him LOTS too.

Now my brothers...hmmm, well Tommie is my little bro and him and I are really close. He's always good for someone to talk to, but always good for someone to bug..hehe. Right now he is in Grade 12 @ Samuel Hearne Secondary in Inuvik. He is a wrestler and has had many accomplishments with that...yeah, go Tom!! He is also really into his sports..him and my dad talk sports non-stop(poor mom), but he is also a huge sports player. Tom works at the Newstand and i think he likes it there...i dunno, it seems to work out in the end for him! Miss ya Tom.

Now, Mack...hmm, what can i say about Mack?!? Mack is my older bro, who lives down here in Edmonton. He's like this wiz guy. He has had his own company(Paramagnus- Developments) since he was like 16 and prolly had been planning it from the womb. He is in his 4th year at the University of Alberta, in Computing Science and is doing really well. He too is a sports fan...but then really i guess what guys isn't?! Its awesome tho, with all the guys in my family i'm kinda up on some sports too. Oh, Mack is also really close with most of his friends. I have had the chance to hang out with a lot of them(all cool) and they all seem to be really close. Can definitely tell they grew up together! Hes a good guy! I haven't really had a lot of time to get to know him, but it'll change soon...hopefully!

What else? Oh, i have my own little family now...me and my fish Joe. Joe's real cool, he just swims around in his bowl and doesn't ever talk back or get messy or anything, its like the perfect pet. Oh Joe is a Betta...really pretty too. Mack and my Dad named him. I liked it so i didn't bother changing it. At home, we also have 3 dogs( Dante(mine), Bijou, and Cisko(Ducky for short), 3 birds (Max, Casper and Yuki(Tom's), Tom also has 3 snakes, one of whom is the devil...and my dad has 2 snakes as well. It's all really cool.

Well not too much else to say about the family situation, other than i'll prolly do separate pages on all the dirt of all of them...especially Mack...as per the request of Annie...great idea!
